October 26 – 31
A time-honored UCLA tradition, Homecoming brings together students, parents and alumni to celebrate the Bruin spirit. The weeklong festivities showcases the Bruin spirit through athletic events, fun on- and off-campus activities, cool swag, philanthropy and entertainment. The highlight of this week is the Homecoming game at the Rose Bowl against the University of Colorado Buffaloes. This week also includes the start of Parents’ Weekend from Oct. 30-Nov. 1, which brings together Bruin families for a variety of enjoyable activities on campus.
The Homecoming Committee in partnership with UCLA Alumni Affairs has put together a schedule that has something for everyone so come out and have a great time!
Calling All Alumni
During Homecoming Week, there are two main events specifically for alumni. On Friday, Oct. 30, alumni are invited to a pregame dinner reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. held at the James West Alumni Center. Immediately following is the first UCLA Men’s Basketball game of the season against Cal State L.A. in Pauley Pavilion. Admission to the barbecue buffet is $40, and tickets to the game is $30. On Saturday, Oct. 31, come to the Bruin Bash pregame party at the Rose Bowl beginning three hours prior to kickoff, which includes a hosted bar and buffet and entertainment for $55. Then attend the Homecoming game between UCLA Bruins vs. the University of Colorado Buffaloes.
After a seven-year hiatus, Homecoming at UCLA was brought back in 2011 with goals to unite UCLA and increase school spirit and pride, as well as to bring back alumni and strengthen the alumni network. Now in our fifth year as a revitalized organization, and along with an exciting new partnership with Alumni Affairs, Homecoming has fully developed into a Bruin tradition on this campus.
General Committee is composed of about 50 talented students who, under direct leadership from their specific Core Board leader, are responsible for the planning, promotion, and execution of Homecoming Week on the UCLA campus. GenCom members are involved in every aspect of the preparation and idea development, ranging from the theme to the week’s specific events. While your time and energy is dedicated to executing a flawless week of activities and school spirit, General Committee members always make time for fun, from Korean BBQ dinners to movie nights! Being a member of Homecoming is an exceptionally rewarding experience that will give you skills, connections, and friends that will last long beyond graduation day.

Unicamp became the official student charity of UCLA in 1948. It is one of UCLA’s biggest and oldest traditions as it brings in 500 student volunteers every year to help inspire young children in low-income communities. In an effort to support Unicamp and it’s great envisions for inspiring young children, UCLA Homecoming is providing funds to Unicamp by providing a portion of what is raised through selling Homecoming merchandise.
